Winter Klondike is a high protein/high fiber cereal grain mix that is ideal as a fall perennial. It will grow in a wide range of soil conditions and help condition poor soils for future plantings. Coverage: 12.5# per 1/8 acre. Suggested Planting Date: Mid July – September. Soil Prep: Spray a glyphosate herbicide if weeds or grasses are present before planting. Best planted in firm seed bed and a pH of 5.5-7.0 is ideal. Planting Instructions: Disk or till the ground to create a good seed bed. This seed should be planted at a depth of 1”- 1 1/2” with good seed to soil contact. Fertilization: A starter fertilizer of 12-12-12 should be used at a rate of 100# per ½ acre.
